Daeqwon Rayshawn Plowden (born August 29, 1998) is an American professionalbasketball player for theSacramento Kings of theNational Basketball Association (NBA), on atwo-way contract with theStockton Kings of theNBA G League. He playedcollege basketball for theBowling Green Falcons.

High school career

Plowden is a native ofGermantown, Philadelphia, and attended Mastery Charter North School.[1] He was the school's first 1,000-point scorer and was a two-time all-state team selection.[1] Plowden played primarily as aforward andcenter in high school;[2] he credits his team's coaches, Terrence Cook and Gerald Johnson, for teaching him combinedbig man andguard skills.[3]

On November 9, 2016, Plowden signed hisNational Letter of Intent to play for theBowling Green Falcons.[4]ESPN ranked him as the 20th best player inPennsylvania in his recruiting class.[5]

College career

Plowden was named to the All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) second-team in 2020 and the third-team in 2021 and 2022.[6] He was selected to the MAC All-Defensive team in 2022.[6]

Plowden finished his career with the Falcons with 1,618 points and 935 rebounds.[6] He did not miss a game during his college career and is the program leader in games played with 154.[6]

Professional career

Birmingham Squadron (2022–2023)

Plowden worked out with theWashington Wizards,New Orleans Pelicans andUtah Jazz prior to the2022 NBA draft but went undrafted.[7] He joined the Pelicans for the2022 NBA Summer League and averaged 12 points per game.[1] On September 9, 2022, Plowden signed with the Pelicans,[8] but was waived on October 15.[9] On November 4, 2022, Plowden was named to the opening night roster for theBirmingham Squadron.[10]

Plowden joined theOklahoma City Thunder for the2023 NBA Summer League.[11]

Osceola Magic (2023–2024)

On September 7, 2023, Plowden's rights were traded to theOsceola Magic[12] and on October 18, he signed with theOrlando Magic.[13] However, he was waived on October 21[14] and on November 2, he joined Osceola.[15]

On July 16, 2024, Plowden signed atwo-way contract with theGolden State Warriors,[16] but was waived on September 24.[17]

Atlanta Hawks / College Park Skyhawks (2024–2025)

On September 27, 2024, Plowden signed with theAtlanta Hawks,[18] but was waived on October 18.[19] Eight days later, he joined theCollege Park Skyhawks[20] and on December 27, he signed atwo-way contract with the Hawks.[21] On January 15, 2025, Plowden made his NBA debut where he made his first seven field goal attempts and finished the game with 19 points in a 110–94 victory over theChicago Bulls.[22][23]

On July 6, 2025, Plowden was traded to thePhoenix Suns as part of a seven-team trade; but was subsequently waived by the team.[24]

Sacramento / Stockton Kings (2025-present)

On July 30, 2025 Plowden signed atwo-way contract with theSacramento Kings.[25]
