Daab chingri, also known aschingri daab, is aBengaliprawn curry, cooked and served in agreen coconut shell.[1][2][3]

Ingredients

The interior ingredients are large prawns, butter orghee or mustard oil, onions,turmeric powder, chopped green chilli, garlic paste andginger paste. On top are various spices. The curry is cooked and served in a green coconut shell.[2][4]

Daab chingri is a popular Bengali dish.[4] It is often cooked duringPohela Boishakh,Raksha Bandhan and other events.[5] It is served at restaurants inKolkata,Mumbai andBangalore among others.[3]
