History

The station first signed on the air on April 19, 1992 asKillerbee 92.3. It carried aTop 40 format with the tagline "Music Mix is Simply Better". On April 26, 2013, Killerbee 92.3 officially signed off. This station, along with the other Killerbee stations, were relaunched under theMagic moniker (adopted from itsparent station) by April 29, 2013.[4][5] On December 27, 2024, Magic 92.3 quietly signed off for the last time and went off the air for a month.

On January 22, 2025, the station returned to the air under management ofY2H Broadcasting Network that owns sister station88.3 XFM. It was later on launched asUy FM, carrying a mass-based format.
