DWPM (630AM), previously branded asRadyo 630, was a radio station owned byPhilippine Collective Media Corporation and operated conjointly withABS-CBN Corporation under Media Serbisyo Production Corporation.[1] The station's studio was located at theABS-CBN Broadcasting Center, Sgt. Esguerra Avenue, corner of Mother Ignacia Street, Barangay South Triangle, Diliman,Quezon City; its transmitter was located along F. Navarette Street, Barangay Panghulo,Obando, Bulacan.[2]

The frequency was assigned toDZMM, a radio station previously owned and run byABS-CBN, until its return in 2025, while the station's call letters were previously used by an FM radio station run by theMarikina local government at 90.3FM from October 1992 to 1994.[3]

Selected programming was also simulcast on its television counterpartTeleRadyo Serbisyo (on cable and digital TV viaPRTV Prime Media), and on selectedFM Radio stations nationwide.

DWPM Radyo 630 was effectively closed down on May 29, 2025, at 8:00 PM, when the station was rebranded as DZMM Radyo Patrol 630, with its programs being carried over to the relaunched station.

On May 23, 2023,ABS-CBN Corporation announced in its press release that the company will enter into a joint venture agreement with Prime Media Holdings, Inc., owned byHouse Speaker RepresentativeMartin Romualdez, to produce and supply various programs including news content to broadcasters and third-party entities including the PMHI-ownedPhilippine Collective Media Corporation, operator of the Favorite Music Radio FM radio network. Among the plans for ABS-CBN and Prime Media's joint venture is the possible revival of DZMM on its frequency 630 kHz.[4][5]

On June 26, 2023, 630 kHz conducted a test broadcast under theDWPM callsign.[6][2]

The station made its soft launch on June 30, 2023, asRadyo 630.[7] A day prior to the launch, hosts of several programs from ABS-CBN's Filipino cable news channelTeleRadyo (formerly DZMM TeleRadyo) has informed their viewers to tune-in to the new station the next day. Its soft launch coincided with the relaunch of TeleRadyo asTeleRadyo Serbisyo, which is also now handled under the Prime Media/ABS-CBN joint-venture management.[8] It had its official launch on July 17, with the debut of its afternoon and evening programs.[9][10] On August 5, the station introduced its weekend afternoon and evening programs to the station's programming grid. On March 4, 2024, the station introduced its weekday early morning programming and its early morning weekend programs 5 days later on March 9.

On July 1, 2024, coinciding with the relaunch anniversary, the station had a minor schedule revamp and expanded its programming to round-the-clock.

On May 21, 2025, Radyo 630 and TeleRadyo Serbisyo began airing teasers that features theme music and stingers used by DZMM,[11] indicating the station's future rebranding to adopt the branding of its predecessor station. The teaser was released amidst the station's reutilization of the defunct DZMM TeleRadyo Facebook page since February, circulating reports of Media Serbisyo Production Corporation's incurring losses due to lack of advertisers,[12] and plans of its owners ABS-CBN and PCMC to boost funding for the station.

Rebranding as DZMM

[edit]

On May 29, 2025, Philippine Collective Media Corporation, announced in a statement that DWPM has officially rebranded back intoDZMM Radyo Patrol 630 under the management of MSPC, while its TV counterpart TeleRadyo Serbisyo will revert toDZMM TeleRadyo. The transition back to the DZMM branding took place at 8:00 pm that evening, effectively signing off both Radyo 630 and TeleRadyo Serbisyo.[13][14]

Despite the rebranding of the station, it legally retains the DWPM call letters in legal databases from the NTC.[15]
