DUTHSat-2 is a GreekEarth observationCubeSat developed by theDemocritus University of Thrace with the support ofEU andESA.[1][2][3][4] Its primary mission is to providevisible andnear infrared images for monitoring ofsoil moisture over land as well asoil spills andwater pollution over sea. The satellite is also testing the Essential TeleMetry and housekeeping (ETM) unit, an innovativeblack box-like device for spacecraft.[5][6]DUTHSat-2 is the first space mission supported by ESA's Greek CubeSat In-Orbit Validation programme.[7] The satellite was launched on 23 June 2025 on aFalcon 9 rocket.[2][8][9]
