DPDPE ([D-Pen2,D-Pen5]enkephalin) is asyntheticopioid peptide and aselectiveagonist of theδ-opioid receptor (DOR) which is used inscientific research.[1] It was developed in the early 1980s and was the first highly selective agonist of the DOR to be developed.[1] It was derived fromstructural modification ofmet-enkephalin.[2]
