Double Data Rate 6 Synchronous Dynamic Random-Access Memory (DDR6 SDRAM) is the next planned type ofsynchronous dynamic random-access memory with a high-bandwidth ("double data rate") interface. Scheduled to release in 2027, it is a type ofDDR SDRAM, and will be the successor toDDR5. It will have a speed of 8,800–17,600 MT/s,[2] four memory channels, and a bandwidth up to 134.4 GB/s.[3] It may have 4×24-bit sub-channel architecture.[4]
It will haveCAMM2 form factor for efficiency, especially for laptops and compact devices.[4] It will also have Decision Feedback Equalization.[5]
