Czech Republic national bandy team is competing for theCzech Republic in the internationalbandy andrink bandy tournaments. It is run by theCzech Association of Bandy.
Bohemia, then a part ofAustria-Hungary, was in its own right an early member of theLigue International de Hockey sur Glace, which administered ice hockey and bandy in the years before theFirst World War.[1]
TheCzech Association of Bandy was founded in 2013 and became a member of theFederation of International Bandy in 2014.
On 6 January 2014 the Czech Republic participated in afour nation tournament inDavos, a centenary celebration of the European Championship of 1913. The other teams were theNetherlands,Hungary, andGermany.[2][3][4]
19 September 2015 the team took part in a rink bandy tournament inNymburk.[5]
The country made theWorld Championship debut inthe 2016 tournament.[6]
