Cymopterus deserticola is a species of flowering plant in thecarrot family known by the common namesdesert cymopterus ordesert springparsley. This rare species isendemic toCalifornia, where it grows increosote bush scrub andJoshua tree woodland of theMojave Desert, from east ofVictorville to Kramer Junction.[1] It has no stem, instead sending its erectpetioles holding the leaves and erectpeduncles bearing the flowers straight out of the sand. Each leaf upon the petiole is a dull green and thick and fleshy, divided into several rubbery-looking leaflets which are again divided into triangular pointed lobes. Theinflorescence is a sphericalumbel of tiny purplish corollas surrounded by large greenbracts.
