Due to the citadel protecting them during Doom's changes, the X-Men work to restore their original reality. However, Cyclops becomes one of Magneto and the Red Skull's followers amidst their changes until Jean Grey restores him, allowing Cyclops to help the X-Men foil Doom's plot to seize the citadel and defeat the Red Skull.[21]
