Curt Mauritz Axel Östberg (17 February 1905 – 30 March 1969) was a Swedish tennis player.[1][2]
Östberg represented theSwedish Davis Cup team in 1929, 1933–34 and 1936–37. His first match in 1929 was againstSouth Africa inSaltsjobaden, where he and his teammates,Sune Malmström andHenning Muller, suffered a 5–0 loss. He played a total of 17 matches and won 6 of them. Three of the wins were in doubles with his partnerKalle Schröder. In 1946 he was appointed as non-playing captain for the Swedish team.[3]
Östberg made two appearances at the Wimbledon Championships, in1929 and1934, losing in the first round on both occasions.[4]
