Current Biology is a biweeklypeer-reviewedscientific journal that covers all areas ofbiology, especiallymolecular biology,cell biology,genetics,neurobiology,ecology, andevolutionary biology. The journal includes research articles, various types ofreview articles, as well as an editorial magazine section.
The journal was established in 1991[1] by the Current Science group, was acquired byElsevier in 1998, and has since 2001 been part ofCell Press, a subdivision of Elsevier.[2] According toJournal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2020impact factor of 10.834.[3][4] It was categorized as a "high impact journal" by theSuperfund Research Program.[5]
