Cullerin (/kʌləˈrən/) is a small township in theSouthern Tablelands ofNew South Wales,Australia.[2] It is on theOld Hume Highway andMain South railway line inUpper Lachlan Shire. TheCullerin railway station opened in 1880 and closed in 1973.[3] At the2016 census, it had a population of 38.[1]
Cullerin is at the summit of a 15 km (9.3 mi) stretch ofruling grade of the Main Southern Rail line. It lies a few kilometres west of theGreat Dividing Range. TheLachlan River and other rivers to the west flow inland, while theWollondilly River and other rivers to the east flow to the Pacific.
