Crystle Roberson is an African-American filmmaker, writer, and television producer. She was honored by Women in Film &Television with theWoman to Watch Award in 2008.[1] She was a director for television series includingGreenleaf on theOprah Winfrey Network, plusAll American(CW),Diary of a Future President (Disney+),American Soul (BET), and more.
Today, Roberson is a member of theDirectors Guild of America.[2] Her first award fromHBO,Chase, andKodak for her short filmNext Door’s Next (2009),[3] led her to write and direct indie projects includingPrivate Garden withIdris Elba, andThe Black Cage withMykelti Williamson.[citation needed] She directed more shorts such asThe End Again featuringColumbus Short andBlack Girls Guide to Fertility with Raney Branch.[citation needed]
