Cristian Petrescu (born March 31, 1971) is aRomanian politician, president of the Bucharest Branch of thePeople's Movement Party .
Born inBucharest, he is a 2004 graduate of theEcological University of Bucharest, where he earned a degree in physical education and sport.[1] A member of theDemocratic Liberal Party, he sat in a Bucharest seat in theRomanian Chamber of Deputies from2008 to2012.[2] From February to April 2012, in the government ofMihai-Răzvan Ungureanu, he served asMinister of Regional Development and Tourism.[1] He ran unsuccessfully for mayor of theSector 3, Bucharest, during the2016 local elections.[3]
