TheCreation Society was a left-wing cultural organisation inChina to encourage literary and cultural exploration. The founders wished to establish a 'society of art for art's sake'.[1] The Society was established by a group of students who were studying in Japan,[2] such asGuo Moruo,Yu Dafu,Zhang Ziping,Tian Han, Zheng Boqi, andCheng Fangwu.[3][4][5] The Society was banned by theNationalist government in 1929.
