Craig Mikel Wayans (/ˈweɪ.ənz/WAY-ənz; born March 27, 1976) is an Americanwriter,television producer andactor. He is the nephew ofKeenen Ivory Wayans,Damon Wayans Sr.,Kim Wayans,Shawn Wayans andMarlon Wayans.
Craig was born in New York City, New York to Diedre Wayans, sister toKeenen Ivory Wayans,Damon Wayans,Kim Wayans,Shawn Wayans andMarlon Wayans. He is cousins withDamien Dante Wayans,Chaunté Wayans, andDamon Wayans Jr.
Wayans worked asproduction assistant on his uncle Damon's 1995 film,Major Payne. He appeared in bit parts inDon't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood in 1996 andThe 6th Man in 1997. He is credited as a writer forScary Movie 2, released in 2001. He co-starred inA Boo Crew Christmas: A Miracle on D-Roc Street andDance Flick in 2006 in 2009, respectively.
He was a regular writer and producer on Damon Wayans' TVsitcomMy Wife and Kids. In 2013, Wayans co-created and co-starred in the 2013BET TV showSecond Generation Wayans with his cousin,Damien Dante Wayans.[1]
Wayans served as the executive producer for the comedy specialMarlon Wayans: Good Grief, released in 2024.[2]
