Craig Donald Wallace (born 27 June 1990) is aScottishcricketer. Wallace is a right-handedbatsman who fields as awicket-keeper. He also currently serves as Head Coach of the Scotland Women's national team. He was born inDundee and was educated at theHigh School of Dundee.
Wallace made his debut forScotland in aList A match againstHampshire at theRose Bowl in the2011 Clydesdale Bank 40.[1] Scotland touredNamibia in September 2011, despite not featuring in Scotland'sfirst-classIntercontinental Cup match againstNamibia, he did feature in the two List A matches which proceeded that match.[1] He also made hisTwenty20 debut on the tour against the hosts, making four appearances.[2] He was selected as part of Scotland's squad for theWorld Twenty20 Qualifier.[3]
In June 2019, he was selected to representScotland A in their tour to Ireland to play theIreland Wolves.[4] In July 2019, he was selected to play for the Edinburgh Rocks in theinaugural edition of theEuro T20 Slam cricket tournament.[5][6] However, the following month the tournament was cancelled.[7]
In September 2019, he was named in Scotland's squad for the2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates.[8] In September 2021, Wallace was named in Scotland's provisional squad for the2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.[9]
Having already beenScotland Women's interim head coach for a year, Wallace was appointed to the role permanently in August 2024.[10][11]
