TheCounty of Grey is one of the49 cadastral counties ofSouth Australia. It was proclaimed in 1846 by GovernorFrederick Robe and named for former GovernorGeorge Grey.[2] It covers the extreme south-east of the state fromPenola andLake George southwards.[2] This includes the following contemporary local government areas of the state:
