Corypheae is atribe ofpalm trees[1][2] in thesubfamilyCoryphoideae.[3] In previous classifications, tribe Corypheae included foursubtribes: Coryphinae, Livistoninae, Thrinacinae and Sabalinae,[4] but recentphylogenetic studies have led to the genera within these subtribes being transferred into other tribes (Chuniophoeniceae,Trachycarpeae,Cryosophileae andSabaleae).[5][6] Tribe Corypheae is now restricted to the genusCorypha alone.[citation needed]
