Cormocyon is an extinct genus ofborophaginecanid native toNorth America. It lived from theOligocene to theEarly Miocene, 30.8—20.6Mya, existing for about10.2 million years.[1] It is regarded as a primitive, transitional member of theBorophagini tribe.[2]
