Carl "Cork" Hubbert[1] (July 3, 1952 – September 28, 2003) was an American film and televisionactor.
Carl Hubbert was born on July 3, 1952, inPendleton, Oregon.[1] He is best known for the roles of Luther on the American television showThe Charmings,[2] Rollo Sweet inUnder the Rainbow[3] and Brown Tom in theRidley Scott filmLegend.[4] He is also featured in the supporting cast of the 1985Nancy Allen comedyNot for Publication.[5] He also starred as Cousin Lymon inThe Ballad of the Sad Café.[6] Hubbert's struggles as an actor afterUnder the Rainbow andMagnum, P.I. were chronicled as part ofThe Sweeps: Behind the Scenes in Network TV, Mark Christensen andCameron Stauth's book on NBC's 1983-1984 TV season.
Hubbert died in 2003 inVenice, Los Angeles, from complications ofdiabetes.[7]
