Corendon Airlines Europe, legally incorporated asTouristic Aviation Services Ltd.,[4] is aEuropeancharter airline headquartered inLuqa and based atMalta International Airport. It carries aMaltese air operators certificate and is a sister company ofCorendon Airlines andCorendon Dutch Airlines.[5]
Corendon Airlines Europe was established in February 2017 as a subsidiary of the Corendon Group inBirkirkara. On May 26, 2017, it conducted its inaugural flight from Malta toNaples.[6] The sole owner of the company isAY Malta Holding Ltd., with its shareholders beingE. Uslu Holding B.V. andY. Karaer Holding B.V..[7] Erol (also known as Atılay) Uslu and Yildiray Karaer are the co-founders of the Corendon Group.[8] In 2017, Corendon Airlines Europe appeared in publications related to theParadise Papers.[9] In June 2020, the company's headquarters were relocated to Luqa Airport.
In April 2023, it became publicly known that Corendon Airlines is facing financial difficulties. Among other issues, the airline owes theGerman state approximately 6 million euros because it had not paidair traffic taxes for an extended period.[10]

Corendon Airlines Europe based its aircraft at several airports in Germany, includingDüsseldorf,Nuremberg,Cologne/Bonn, andHanover, as well as one inBasel/Mulhouse inFrance.
Apart from the base airports, Corendon Airlines Europe serves mostly holiday destinations such asTurkey,Greek Islands,Canary andBalearic Islands (both inSpain),Egypt andTel Aviv (Israel).[12]
On October 1, 2021, several passengers on flight XR1050 fromCologne Bonn Airport to the island ofRhodes, reportedly collapsed and fell unconscious. Upon treatment by crew members and passengers with medical training, the affected passengers recovered and the flight continued to its destination.[13]
