Contour is a residential development under construction in theCastlefield area ofManchester , England. Once completed, it will comprise two 154-metre (505 ft), 51-storeyskyscrapers .[ 4]
The towers are part of the Great Jackson Street masterplan, located adjacent to theDeansgate Square skyscraper cluster.[ 5] They were designed bySimpsonHaugh architects[ 3] and once completed will be thejoint fourth-tallest buildings in Greater Manchester alongside the nearbyBlade andThree60 towers.
The planning application was submitted by the developerRenaker toManchester City Council in November 2021 for two 51-storey residential buildings across two phases.[ 6] The towers will contain a combined total of 988 apartments[ 5] and each building will have co-working space, a gym and lounges.[ 7] Planning approval for the towers was obtained in March 2022.[ 8] [ 9]
As of March 2024[update] , construction activities had commenced,[ 10] with an estimated completion date of 2026.[ 2]
The site of the two towers will also include 0.5 acres (0.20 ha) of public realm.[ 11]
