Conneaut Creek/ˈkɒni.ɒt/ is a 43.5-mile (70.0 km)tributary ofLake Erie in northwesternPennsylvania and northeasternOhio in theUnited States.[4] Via Lake Erie, theNiagara River andLake Ontario, it is part of thewatershed of theSt. Lawrence River, which flows to theAtlantic Ocean.
Conneaut Creek rises in westernCrawford County, Pennsylvania, and initially flows north-northwestwardly pastConneautville into westernErie County. NearAlbion, it turns to the west-southwest and roughlyparallels the shoreline of Lake Erie for some length, at a distance of about 5 mi (8 km) inland, into northeasternAshtabula County, Ohio, where, atKingsville, it turns to the northeast to flow into Lake Erie at the city ofConneaut.[5][6]
