TheConfederation of African Athletics (CAA; French:Confédération Africaine d'Athlétisme) is thecontinental association for thesport of athletics inAfrica. It is headquartered inDakar,Senegal. It organises theAfrican Championships in Athletics and other continental competitions. The body's current president isHamad Kalkaba Malboum ofCameroon.
The organization was founded on 17 January 1973. Before 1992, the organization was known as theConfederation of African Amateur Athletics and sometimes as theAfrican Amateur Athletics Federation.[1][2]
