TheCommunauté urbaine Creusot Montceau (official name:Communauté urbaine Le Creusot – Montceau les Mines) is thecommunauté urbaine, anintercommunal structure, centred on thecities ofLe Creusot andMontceau-les-Mines. It is located in theSaône-et-Loiredepartment, in theBourgogne-Franche-Comtéregion, easternFrance. It was created in 1970.[1] Its area is 742.0 km2. Its population was 93,072 in 2018, of which 21,491 in Le Creusot and 17,897 in Montceau-les-Mines.[2]
