TheCommissioners Waters, awatercourse[1] that is part of theMacleay River catchment, is located in theNorthern Tablelands region ofNew South Wales,Australia.
Commissioners Waters was formed by theconfluence of theDumaresq Creek andTilbuster Ponds. Commissioners Waters is located about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) east ofArmidale. The river flows generally to the southeast by south, joined by a minor tributary, before reaching its confluence with theGara River.[1] The river descends 56 metres (184 ft) over its 19 kilometres (12 mi)course.[2]
The river is traversed by theWaterfall Way,[2] and is named in honour ofCommissioner McDonald, the firstCommissioner of Crown Lands in Armidale.[1]
