Coetzala is amunicipality in theMexicanstate ofVeracruz. It is located in the montane central zone of the state, about 90 km fromXalapa, the state capital. It has a surface of 26.32 km2. It is located at18°47′N96°55′W / 18.783°N 96.917°W /18.783; -96.917.
The municipality of Coetzala is delimited byAmatlán de los Reyes,Córdoba,Cuichapa,San Andrés Tenejapan,Zongolica,Tequila andNaranjal.[1]
The weather in Coetzala is cold all year with rains in summer and autumn.
It produces principallymaize.
In Coetzala, in July takes place the celebration in honor to Santa María Magdalena, Patron of the town.[citation needed]
