The German standardDIN 66003, also known asCode page 1011 (CCSID 1011; abbreviated CP1011) byIBM,[1][2]Code page 20106 (abbreviated CP20106) by Microsoft[3] andD7DEC by Oracle,[4] is a modification of 7-bitASCII with adaptations for theGerman language, replacing certain symbol characters withumlauts and theeszett. It is theGerman national version ofISO/IEC 646 (ISO 646-DE), and also a localised option inDEC'sNational Replacement Character Set (NRCS) for theirVT220 terminals.

It is registered with theISO-IR registry for use withISO/IEC 2022 asISO-IR-21.Kermit calls itGERMAN, but also accepts theIANA-registered nameISO646-DE.[5] Other IANA-registered names includeDIN_66003,csISO21German and simplyde.[6]
