TheCoalition of the Pleasant Scent of Servitude,[5] theSweet Scent of Servitude[6] or theJoyful Essence of Obedience[7] (Persian:ائتلاف رايحه خوش خدمت) was aprinciplistpolitical group inIran that supportedMahmoud Ahmadinejad andhis government.

2006 local elections

The group was founded a few months before the2006 Iranian local elections, and was able to win seats in severalCity and Village Councils of Iran. They had no candidates inIlam,Sari,Kerman,Gorgan andKhorramabad. According toFars News Agency, the results were as follows:[8][9]

They competed in the2008 Iranian legislative election as part ofUnited Front of Conservatives.[10] After the elections, their winning candidates formed a newParliamentary group named "Islamic Revolution", claiming to have 90 members.[1]

2012

In 2010, some reports indicated a dispute inside the group,[1] and in the2012 Iranian legislative election, some members formedStability Front, claiming not to support the followers ofAhmadinejad.[5] Another newly formed group calledMonotheism and Justice Front, was linked toEsfandiar Rahim Mashaei andMahmoud Ahmadinejad.[11]
