Clynder is aplace on the western shore of theGare Loch,Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
Historically in theCounty of Dunbarton, Clynder is one of a string of small settlements on theRosneath Peninsula. It is almost directly oppositeRhu, and overlooks theHMNB Clyde base atFaslane.
The hills immediately behind Clynder were formerly used asapiaries, the types ofheather found there being particularly attractive to bees.[1]
