The team was founded in 2001 under the nameEl Calor de San Pedro, based onSan Pedro, Coahuila onTercera División. The squad was created with the objective of training players from the Mexican-Canadian League, a local competition.[3] In 2012, the team obtained the sub-championship of the Third Division, losing toReal Cuautitlán, however, their position allowed the team to be promoted to theSecond Division.[4]

In August 2012 the team debuted in theLiga de Nuevos Talentos, the second level of the Mexican Second Division, the team managed to maintain the category without many problems.

In July 2013 the club was moved toGómez Palacio to stay in the category by not being able to meet the requirements at its original town, and its was renamed toCalor de Gómez Palacio, the club had as a new field theUnidad Deportiva Francisco Gómez Palacio.[5]

In theTorneo Clausura 2017, the team finished the competition as runner-up, after being defeated by theYalmakán F.C.[6]

In 2018 the team was moved toMonclova, being its third change of venue in the history of the team,[7] also, the team was renamed asClub Calor. After the arrival of the club to its new city, the construction of a football stadium was planned.[8]

During the 2020–2021 season, the team requested a one-year hiatus to undergo a financial and sports restructuring, due to the problems caused by COVID-19 in the Mexican football sector, in addition to improving their situation to be eligible for a place in theLiga PremierSerie A.

In Summer 2021 the team returned to compete, at the end of theTorneo Apertura Club Calor reached the championship final, where they were defeated byAguacateros C.D. Uruapan.[9]

In theApertura 2022, Club Calor won their first official championship by defeatingAlebrijes de Oaxaca Premier by 3–2 on the aggregate.[10] In May 2023 the club was promoted to theLiga PremierSerie A after obtaining the respective license to participate in that league.[11]

In 2024 the team returned to Serie B due to improvement work on its stadium in Monclova, due to the lack of a stadium in that city, the team tried to establish itself inLeón, Guanajuato, where they previously had a reserve team, however, the team was involved in an attempted name change by theUnión de Curtidores club, however, the league did not authorize the move, generating rejection from the fans.[12] Finally for the 2024–25 season the team was established in San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco.[13]
