Cloxotestosterone acetate (INNTooltip International Nonproprietary Name; brand nameCaprosem), also known astestosterone 17β-chloral hemiacetalO-acetate, is asynthetic,injectedanabolic–androgenic steroid (AAS) and anandrogen ether and ester – specifically, theO-acetateester ofcloxotestosterone, the 17β-trichlorohemiacetalether oftestosterone.[1] It is administered viaintramuscular injection, as a 100 mg, 2 mLaqueous suspension and lasts 4 to 6 weeks with a single administration.[2][unreliable source?] The drug was first marketed in the early 1960s.[2]
