Claude Rich (French pronunciation:[klodʁiʃ]; 8 February 1929 – 20 July 2017) was a French stage and screen actor.[1][2] He began his career in theatre before his film debut in 1955.

He married actressCatherine Renaudin on 26 June 1959. They had two daughters, Delphine (an actress) and Nathalie (a painter), and an adopted son, Remy.
In 1996, he was a member of the jury at the46th Berlin International Film Festival.[3]
