Claude Legault (born May 26, 1963) is a Canadian actor and television writer fromQuebec.
Legault was a star (2000-2003) of theLigue Nationale d'Improvisation and has since appeared regularly on television, stage and film. He was part of the cast of the TV series450 chemin du Golf andAnnie et ses Hommes and ofLe retour. He also plays inMinuit, le soir andDans une galaxie près de chez vous, two series that he developed and wrote with his old partner in crimePierre-Yves Bernard. Together, they also wrote the movieDans une galaxie près de chez vous, in which he portrays Flavien Bouchard. Moreover, Legault was co author ofLe monde selon Dieu, in which he played atEspace GO and at the Vieux-Clocher inSherbrooke,Quebec. He has been seen on stage inDurocher le milliardaire andPropagande and on the big screen inGaz Bar Blues,Les 7 Jours du Talion and10½. He also starred in the series19-2.
He received aGenie Award nomination forBest Actor at the28th Genie Awards forThe 3 L'il Pigs (Les 3 p'tits cochons), and won thePrix Iris for Best Supporting Actor at the24th Quebec Cinema Awards in 2022 forDrunken Birds (Les Oiseaux ivres).[1]
