Clannaborough Church

Clannaborough is a parish in the county ofDevon, England, situated about5+12 miles north-west of the town ofCrediton and 11 miles north-east ofOkehampton. No village exists, only scattered farmhouses, including ClannaboroughBarton and the bartons of Appledore and Walson, all three estates listed in theDomesday Book of 1066.[1] Walson was the birthplace ofChristopher Lethbridge (d.1670),Mayor of Exeter in 1660, who waslord of the manor of nearby Bow (aliasNymet Tracy).[2] The parish church is dedicated toSt Petrock.[3]
