Civic Government Association

Municipal political party in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

TheCivic Government Association was apolitical party active inEdmonton's municipal politics from after theFirst World War until the 1960s.[1] The party focused on the economic growth and government efficiency aspects of theProgressive Era, as it was envisioned by the 1920s.[2] It first contested the1919 election, and continued until the1963 election. Its supporters ran under a variety of names: Civic Government Association,Citizens' Progressive League,Citizens' League orCitizens' Committee.[2][3]
