A citydistrict, also known as anurban district orneighbourhood, is a designatedadministrative division that is generally managed by alocal government. It is used to divide a city into several administrative units.
City districts are used inRussia (raion),Pakistan andCroatia (Croatian:gradski kotar orgradska četvrt).
The term is also the English translation for theGermanStadtbezirk;Frencharrondissements;Dutchstadsdeel;Swedishstadsdel andPolishdzielnica.
