Citrus undulata,synonymOxanthera undulata, the wavy-leaf oxanthera, is a species ofplant in the familyRutaceae. It isendemic toNew Caledonia.[1]Oxanthera undulata is classified as critically endangered by the IUCN.[2]
Originally characterized and named asCitrus undulata byAndré Guillaumin in 1938, this species along with the otherfalse oranges were moved to a novel genus,Oxanthera, in the Swingle and Tanaka systems of citrus taxonomy.Phylogenetic analysis showed thatOxanthera species clustered withinCitrus, which makes this species a member of that genus.[3]
