Citrus neocaledonica,synonymOxanthera neocaledonica, the large leaf oxanthera, is a species ofplant in the familyRutaceae. It isendemic toNew Caledonia.[1]
Citrus neocaledonica was originally named as a member of the genusCitrus byAndré Guillaumin in 1911,[2] but thefalse oranges were moved to a novel genusOxanthera in the Swingle and Tanaka systems of citrus taxonomy.Phylogenetic analysis showed thatOxanthera species clustered withinCitrus, which makes this species a member of that genus.[3]
