
TheChurch of St. Luke inBoka Kotorska,Montenegro (Serbian Cyrillic: Црква Светог Луке у Котору)[1][2][3] belongs to theSerbian Orthodox Church. TheByzantine andGothic architecture was built in 1195 duringStefan Nemanja's reign. In the 17th century,Dimitrije Daskal painted the icons of theiconostasis of the Church ofSveti Luka (in Serbian).[4][5][6]
There is an older structure in same town,Kotor Cathedral that was built on the foundation of a ninth-century Christian church in 1066[7] some 12 years after theEast-West Schism (of 1054).
