Christopher Mies (born 24 May 1989) is a professionalGerman racing driver, andFord Performance factory driver. He was anAudi Sport factory driver for 14 years from 2009 to 2023, competed inGT3 series such asADAC GT Masters,GT World Challenge Europe,Intercontinental GT Challenge, andAustralian GT Championship.
Mies began his career in 2006 in theToyota Yaris Cup Germany, followed in 2007 by theFord Fiesta Cup Germany.[2] While racing aFord Fiesta ST he won Division 2 of theADAC Procar Series in 2008. In the same year he also moved intoGT Racing for the first time, entering two races of theADAC GT Masters in anAudi R8 LMS, thus beginning a long connection with theAudi brand. In 2009, he won his first major championship title, winning theFIA GT3 European Championship forPhoenix Racing withChristopher Haase, once again in an Audi R8 LMS. He moved toAbt Sportsline for the2010 ADAC GT Masters season, finishing second in the championship.[2] In 2011 he won theBathurst 12 Hour forJoest Racing alongsideMarc Basseng andDarryl O'Young.[3] He repeated the achievement in 2012 with O'Young andChrister Jöns, this time for Phoenix Racing.[4]
Mies went on to cement his rising reputation withinGT3 ranks with a victory in the2012 Blancpain Endurance Series. In 2013 and 2014, Mies raced in a diverse range of series and events, including largely unsuccessful returns to Bathurst and the Blancpain Endurance Series as well as appearances in the24 Hours Nürburgring,Sepang 12 Hours andUnited SportsCar Championship.[2] 2015 became Mies' most successful year to date, most notably winning the 24 Hours Nürburgring withNico Müller,Edward Sandström andLaurens Vanthoor in the newAudi R8 LMS forTeam WRT. He also continued his association with Australia through winning theAustralian GT Championship, as well as theAustralian Tourist Trophy, forJamec Pem Racing and also finished second in theHighlands 101 for the team. In 2016 he continued in the Australian GT Championship as defending champion, once again with Jamec Pem Racing.[5] He also continued in theBlancpain GT Series with Team WRT, finishing second in the series.[6] WithConnor De Phillippi, Mies won the2016 ADAC GT Masters.[7]
In 2017 he won the 24 Hours Nürburgring for a second time withKelvin van der Linde, Connor de Phillippi andMarkus Winkelhock in a Land Motorsport Audi R8 LMS.[8]
In 2021, Mies won his secondADAC GT Masters title withRicardo Feller.[9]
Mies returned to the GT World Challenge Europe in 2023, joining fellow factory driversSimon Gachet andPatric Niederhauser in an Endurance Cup Pro class entry forSaintéloc Racing, as well as a Sprint Cup entry alongsideGrégoire Demoustier.[10]

In November 2023, Mies announced his departure from Audi,[11] and joined Ford later.[12] He made his Ford debut at2024 24 Hours of Daytona, finished 6th in GTD Pro class.
