Christian García Cajas (born 6 July 2004) is afootballer who plays forIndependiente del Valle. Born and raised in Spain to a Spanish father and an Afro-Ecuadorian mother, he is a Ecuador youth international.
Born inMadrid to an Afro-Ecuadorian mother and a Spanish father, Garcia played football from a young age. In July 2021 he joined the academy atReal Madrid after a season withAlcobendas CF.[3][4] Prior to that, he had spent ten years with Siete Picos Colmenar in Madrid, where he had captained his side.[5][6] In 2022, Garcia signed withCD Leganés.[7] He joinedIndependiente del Valle in July 2023.[8]
Garcia was called up to theEcuador U-20 for the2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Argentina in May 2023.[9][10][11]
