Christian DubéMNA (born 3 October 1956)[1] is aCanadian politician. He is a member of theNational Assembly of Quebec for the riding ofLa Prairie, and serves asMinister of Health and Social Services.[1]
He was first elected in the2012 election as the representative ofLévis for theCoalition Avenir Québec (CAQ),[2] and wasre-elected in 2014.
On 15 August 2014, Dubé resigned his seat to take a job at theCaisse de dépôt et placement.[1] On 3 September 2018, Dubé announced that he would run for the2018 election in the riding of La Prairie, replacingStéphane Le Bouyonnec as the CAQ's candidate. He would defeatLiberal incumbentRichard Merlini.[3][4]
On 22 June 2020, as part of a cabinet shuffle, Dubé was named the new Minister of Health and Social Services, succeedingDanielle McCann.[5]
