Christian Tallman (born September 22, 1970) is an American actor and comedian. He is best known for his regular appearances on theComedy Central programsCrossballs andReno 911![1] and theNickelodeon programThe Thundermans.
Tallman was born Christian Peter Tallman on September 22, 1970, inMadison, Wisconsin to Sally (née Probasco) and John B. Tallman (1940–2020).[2][3] He attendedMadison West High School and graduated in 1988. He performed with a number of theater groups in Madison, as well as being a long-standing member of the Madison chapter ofComedySportz and is currently on the roster of ComedySportz Los Angeles.
Tallman was also the creator of the popularChannel 101 seriesTime Belt which he wrote, directed, co-produced and starred in. He starred in the Nickelodeon superhero comedyThe Thundermans as Hank Thunderman.[4] He has also guest-starred on many television shows such asHouse,Parks and Recreation,Emily's Reasons Why Not,Angel,How I Met Your Mother,The Sarah Silverman Program,The King of Queens, and appeared onFrank TV asEd McMahon. Currently he appears weekly on theDungeons & Dragonstabletop role-playing game podcast,Nerd Poker.
In 2007, Tallman was part of the ensemble cast ofNBC's improvised comedy showThank God You're Here, which showcased the improvisational skills of a group of four celebrity guest stars each week, as they walk into a live sketch without having seen a script for it.[5]
Tallman would later reprise his role of Hank Thunderman inThe Thundermans Return and some episodes ofThe Thundermans: Undercover.[6]
Tallman married his wife Sarah Stanard in 2006.[7] Together they have two children.[8]
He was awarded the Channel 101 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2007 Channel 101 Channy Awards.[9]
