Chris Oladokun [listenⓘ] (born September 3, 1997) is an American professionalfootballquarterback for theKansas City Chiefs of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theSouth Florida Bulls,Samford Bulldogs, andSouth Dakota State Jackrabbits before being selected by thePittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the2022 NFL draft.
Oladokun was born and grew up inTampa, Florida.[1] He initially attendedBraulio Alonso High School, where he was the startingquarterback as a sophomore and junior and passed for 3,746 yards and 35 touchdowns over those two seasons.[2] Oladokun transferred toSickles High School prior to his senior season, because of a disagreement with the head coach.[3] He was rated a three-star recruit and committed to playcollege football at theUniversity of South Florida.[4]
Oladokun began his college career withSouth Florida, andredshirted his true freshman season. He played two games during his redshirt freshman season, completing one pass attempt for 12 yards and rushing once for one yard.[2] Oladokun started three games as a redshirt sophomore and completed 22 of 44 pass attempts for 285 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. After the season, Oladokun transferred toSamford.[5]
Oladokun played all 12 of the Bulldogs' games and started eight in his first season with the team. He passed for 2,064 yards and 18 touchdowns with seven interceptions and rushed for 493 yards and eight touchdowns.[6] After his senior season, Oladokun transferred toSouth Dakota State as a graduate transfer.[7] In his lone season with the Jackrabbits, he passed for 3,164 yards and 25 touchdowns, leading them to an 11-4 record and a spot in the FCS semifinals.[8]

Oladokun was selected in the seventh round with the 241st overall pick of the2022 NFL draft by thePittsburgh Steelers.[11] He was released on August 23, 2022.[12]
On August 31, 2022, Oladokun was signed to thepractice squad of theKansas City Chiefs.[13][14] Oladokun earned aSuper Bowl ring when the Chiefs defeated thePhiladelphia Eagles inSuper Bowl LVII.[15] On February 15, 2023, Oladokun signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs.[16]
Oladokun was waived by the Chiefs as part of final roster cuts on August 31, 2023. He was signed to the practice squad the following day.[17] He was elevated via a standard elevation before the Chiefs week 18 game against theLos Angeles Chargers. It was the first game of his career he was active for, but he did not play. He reverted to the practice squad after the game.[18] Oladokun earned his second Super Bowl ring when the Chiefs defeated theSan Francisco 49ers inSuper Bowl LVIII.[19]
Oladokun was waived by the Chiefs on August 27, 2024.[20] He was re-signed to the practice squad on October 22, 2024.[21] Oladokun was a game day elevation for Kansas City in their season finale against theDenver Broncos. He made his NFL debut in the game, logging five offensive snaps, including one rush for five yards.[22] Oladokun signed a reserve/future contract with the Chiefs on February 11, 2025.[23]
On August 26, 2025, Oladokun was waived by the Chiefs as part of final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad the next day.[24][25] He was promoted to the active roster on December 20 afterPatrick Mahomes was injured for the rest of the season.[26]
On December 21, 2025, Oladokun came in to play against theTennessee Titans, after starterGardner Minshew was injured, who himself was replacing the injuredPatrick Mahomes.[27] He completed his first career pass toTravis Kelce, a six-yard catch over the middle in the second quarter. Oladokun started his first career NFL game on December 25, 2025, against theDenver Broncos. He went 13-for-22 with one touchdown pass and no interceptions as the Chiefs lost 20–13.[28]

Oladokun is the older brother of current NFL cornerback,Jordan Oladokun.[29]
