Christopher Robert Jones (born 5 November 1990) is a former Englishcricketer who played forSomerset, who made hisCounty Championship debut in 2010 as a replacement forCraig Kieswetter.[1] He was born inHarold Wood inHavering but moved toDorset at a young age.

He was educated atBroadstone Middle School,Poole Grammar School andRichard Huish College before moving on toDurham University to readEconomics. He graduated from Durham with afirst-class degree in June 2013.[2] He has playedfirst-class cricket withDurham MCCU and was awarded the university's 'sportsman of the year' award in 2011.[3] Jones was called into the Somerset team for atour match against Australia in July 2013, hitting his first first-class century.[2]

On 15 August 2014, Jones announced his retirement from first-class cricket at the end of the 2014 season to pursue a career outside of the game.[4]
