Christopher Keith Brady (born March 3, 2004) is an American professionalassociation football player who plays as agoalkeeper forMajor League Soccer clubChicago Fire.
Born inNaperville,Illinois, Brady joined theChicago Fire in 2017, playing with the youth academy.[2] On March 24, 2020, Brady signed ahomegrown player deal with the Fire, joining the club's first team inMajor League Soccer.[3]
On July 24, 2020, Brady was loaned toUSL League One clubForward Madison.[4] He made his professional debut for the club on August 23 againstOrlando City B, starting in a 3–1 victory.[5]
On November 13, 2020, following the2020 season, Brady was named as the USL League One Young Player of the Year.[6] In eight matches, Brady recorded three clean sheets throughout his loan.[6]
The next season, Brady returned to Forward Madison on June 11, 2021, on loan.[7] Similar to the previous season, Brady would split his training with both Forward Madison while returning to the Chicago Fire occasionally.[8] A day later, on June 12, Brady made his return debut for the club against theRichmond Kickers. He earned the cleansheet in the 0–0 draw, including saving a one-on-one opportunity against the Kickers'Emiliano Terzaghi.[8]
Born in the United States, Brady is of Scottish descent and eligible to play for both national teams.[9]On January 25, 2019, he was selected into theUnited States under-15 side that would participate in theCONCACAF Boys' Under-15 Championship.[10] Brady ledUnited States men's national under-20 association football team to a2022 CONCACAF U-20 Championship title and won the Golden Glove award, awarded to the tournaments best goalkeeper.[11] He earned three caps for theU.S. U-23s in the buildup to the2024 Olympics, but did not make the final squad.[12][13]
