Achori burger, also known as achorizo burger, is aFilipinohamburger characteristically made withchorizo (longganisa) patties,banana ketchup,mayonnaise, andatchara, in addition to tomatoes and lettuce. It was first popularized by Merly's BBQ, a street food stall in the island ofBoracay in thePhilippines.[1][2][3][4][5] A version of the burger with a half-longganisa and half-beef patty from Jeepney Restaurant was declared the best burger in New York City inTime Out's 2014 "Battle of the Burgers" competition.[6][7][8][9][10]
